Originally from St. Louis Mo, I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BA in English. My husband and I enjoyed living on the west coast in Portland, OR before moving to Asheville, NC where I received my teaching certificate at the University of North Carolina-Asheville. I am an avid reader and outdoors person and travel often to the mountains, the beach and around the U.S. to see family and friends. North Carolina has been home now for 10 years and teaching here at Millbrook has been a wonderful second career. We have the best teachers and the best students and I look forward to serving this community in the future.

I am originally from Rocky Mount, North Carolina and I attended UNC-Chapel Hill. From there, I moved up to Washington, D.C. and taught in Alexandria, Virginia for seven years. This is my fifth year teaching at Millbrook. My husband and I have two energetic children, Daniel (3) and Ava (1), and two crazy dogs, Kelsey and Maya. We are enjoying living in North Carolina closer to both of our families.
