This week we had the 23rd annual Weatherstone Community Helper Day! This PTA sponsored event provided Kindergartners and 1st Graders with the opportunity to learn all about the important people and services that support our community.Thank you to the PTA for organizing this tradition at WES! There will be no school on Monday, October 20th for a staff workday.

Digital Citizenship Week 2025 

Next week, we will celebrate Digital Citizenship Week, a nationwide celebration that places emphasis on digital citizenship and the safe, responsible, and respectful use of technology. You may read more information about it here. 

Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Health

In our continuing efforts to support the well-being of all our students, we will be administering a universal screener of social, emotional & behavioral health. Our district is using the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System-2 (BIMAS-2) research-based screening tool. A letter is coming home today in the Friday Folder with more information. 

If you want your child included in the universal screening, no further action is required. If you do not want your child screened, please complete the opt-out form on the back of the letter and return it to your child’s school by October 24th.

Upcoming Spirit Days

On Wednesday, October 22nd we will celebrate Unity Day. Wear orange to send a message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying.

On Friday, October 31st, we will have dress as your favorite book character (see the link for specifics and ideas).

WES International Night - November 20th, 5:30pm - 7:30pm, with live performances beginning at 6:30pm!

International Night is back and moved to this fall on November 20th! This fun evening will celebrate the many countries represented at our school. The event will include tables and performances highlighting different countries, crafts, and more. We are asking families interested in participating to sign up at the links below. If you see a country is missing, please add it! Families will work together to set up their table that could include examples of traditional dress, items of cultural importance, food (pre-packaged), posterboard of photos/information, etc. Questions?
