Two-Hour Delay – Friday, January 30

Due to lingering ice in some areas and to allow time for safe school and transportation preparations, Wiley will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, January 30. Buses will arrive two hours later than usual, and morning drop-off will be from 10:45–11:15 a.m. Breakfast will be available if needed, but lunch will begin shortly after students arrive. Before School programs will also follow the two-hour delay. Use caution when traveling to and accessing campus. Thank you for your patience as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families.

Report Cards Sent Home Early, January 30

Due to the possibility of additional inclement  weather next week, Quarter 2 report cards will be sent home today along with students’ Monday folders. Please check your child’s belongings for important information, including their report card. If your child is absent today, no worries—we will be sure to send it home with them when they return next week.

Remote Learning & Choice Board Reminder

As a reminder, choice boards are sent home to support asynchronous learning during inclement weather. Families may reach out to teachers with questions during school hours on remote learning days, as teachers are expected to be working. All students will be assumed present on remote learning days and evidence of work attempts will confirm attendance when students return. While teachers will communicate expectations for assigned tasks, students are not expected to complete all activities in one day or in one sitting. Choice boards are designed to give families flexibility to select activities that fit their capacity during inclement weather while preventing learning loss and  providing continued practice of skills.. Please share any concerns with your child’s homeroom teacher or administration as needed.

Wiley Named a Magnet School of Distinction

Wiley was recently named a Magnet School of Distinction! We were one of 54 magnet schools in our district recognized by Magnet Schools of America with a National Merit Award. This honor is awarded to schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, integrated instruction, and the delivery of high-quality educational services. Schools are also recognized for promoting diversity and building strong family and community partnerships that support their magnet theme. Thank you to our Magnet Coordinator and each of our  teachers, students, and families for making this achievement possible. 🎉

Support Our Spring Fundraiser Through Sponsorship

We’re preparing for another year of Raise Craze, Wiley PTA’s annual Spring fundraiser, and invite our Wiley community to get involved through corporate sponsorships. If you own or have a connection to a local business or organization, please consider sharing this opportunity.

Sponsorships help ensure that every Wiley student, teacher and staff member receives a Raise Craze t-shirt. In return, sponsors receive logo placement on the back of the shirts, providing year-long visibility within our school community.

We’re inviting high school students to help with grounds work at Wiley every weekend in April and early May, with two-hour volunteer shifts available.
