Questions about the 2026-27 budget?

The 2026-27 budget has been a hot topic as of recent. We have heard many questions. In an effort to keep communications open, we are trying to understand your questions about the impact to the Wiley budget.  Please let us know and we can work with Mr. Avery to do our best to answer these. You may ask your questions here.

Gardens and Grounds Day - Saturday, April 18 from 9:00-12:00 pm

Wiley PTA is hosting a Gardens and Grounds Day on Saturday 4/18 from 9am - noon. Volunteers are welcome to join for an hour or all three. We will meet outside of the front office near "the rock" at 9:00 am. Different projects will be set-up around the property to help care for our natural spaces and enhance the kids' outdoor play spaces. Please plan on bringing your own gloves and tools if you have them. Kids are welcome! If you have questions about how you can help, please reach out to Natalie Carmen at gardens.grounds@wileypta.org.

We are also looking for a few handy parents to assist with some indoor projects during this time. If you have experience patching walls or hanging bulletin boards, we would greatly appreciate your help! For safety reasons, students will not be able to participate in indoor work. Please contact Hadley Cairns-Heath at hcairns-heath@wcpss.net for more information.

Science Night, Tuesday, May 19 5:30 -7pm

We are excited to announce Wiley's 2nd Annual Science Night! It will be held on May 19th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Huge thanks to the Wiley PTA for making this event possible!

In order for Science Night to be a success, we need volunteers to help run ten different activities on campus. Volunteers will sign up for one activity and lead students through that activity over the course of the evening. All supplies and instructions will be provided. Please note that volunteers will need to be at Wiley from 5:00 - 7:15 pm on the evening of the event to set up and clean up their activity

Volunteer spots still open! If interested in volunteering, use this link to sign up. If you have any questions, please contact Hadley Cairns-Heath at hcairns-heath@wcpss.net.

Raise Craze: We Did It!

It was amazing to watch everyone in the Wiley School community come together to make our world a little kinder while raising money for our PTA during our annual Raise Craze fundraiser.

We raised $23,518 and our students completed 6,543 AOKs—exceeding the AOK goal by more than four times over!

And a big congratulations to Mr. Gonzaleas’ 5th Grade class for completing the most AOKs, with 776 completed by his class which earned them Picnic with the Principal!

Thank you for helping your students make a difference, and for matching their kindness with your donations!

Spring Book Fair is Almost Here!

The Wiley PTA is excited to partner with Scholastic for our annual Spring Book Fair, taking place Monday, 4/20–Friday, 4/24 in the Media Center! You can find all the details about the fair including how to set up an eWallet for your student here. It takes many helping hands to make the Book Fair a success, so we’d love for you to sign up for a volunteer slot.

We’re also proud of our Book Fairy program, which ensures every Wiley student who wants a new book can get one. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re able to provide nearly 100 Book Fairy tickets at each fair. Help us keep the joy of reading going by donating to the Book Fairy program!

Claim your Lost and Found Items!

Be sure to check out the items in the Lost & Found! Items up for donation will be placed in bins outside the main office through the weekend. Remember, labeled items are never donated.

Grounds Volunteers Needed
Calling All High Schoolers: Help Wiley and Earn Service Hours

Do you have a high schooler or know one in need of service hours? Wiley PTA is launching a Junior Sustainability Committee this spring! We’re inviting high school students to help with grounds work at Wiley every weekend in April and early May, with two-hour volunteer shifts available. It’s a great way for older students to give back to their elementary roots—plus it helps keep our campus looking beautiful for our Wiley students!
