Congratulations to our Swimming and Diving Teams on a fantastic season! The boys' team finished 3rd in the state, with Davis Jackson breaking the state record in the 100 backstroke and earning the title of Most Outstanding Male Swimmer after winning both of his individual events. The girls' team took 16th place and performed exceptionally well. It was a great meet and a great season overall!

 

Reminder: Monday, February 16, 2026, is a regular school day.

 

Upcoming Update to Student Device Internet Access February 16

Beginning February 16, students may notice changes to how websites and online content work on their school-issued devices.

WCPSS is making these updates as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen online safety and ensure digital resources align with instructional and age-appropriate expectations. As a result, some websites or online activities that were previously accessible may now be limited.

These updates are districtwide and will continue to be reviewed and adjusted as needed. If a website required for instruction is blocked or if a student encounters content that seems inappropriate, families are encouraged to contact their school so the issue can be reviewed.

Families of the Class of 2026

As we move closer to our June graduation, please be reminded that the Class of 2026: Everything You Need to Know website is a valuable resource for staying informed. Recent updates include information about cap & gown distribution, Latin honors cords, the LRHS Scholar-Athlete application, and updated scholarship information.

 

2026-2027 Class Registration

The registration process for next school year will begin this week with information shared with students in grades 9-11 during Advisory.  Detailed information will also be posted on the school's website.  Counselors will begin meeting with students in early March to assist them in selecting their classes for next year.  Parents should be on the lookout for registration materials to come home with your student over the next several weeks.

 

AP Exam Information

The updated AP Exam Information can be found HERE.

 

The ACT is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 7:25 am for 11th-grade students.

All eligible 11th-grade students should have received an email from Ms. Arwood on Friday, 2/13, with important information on preparing and practicing for the ACT, along with a personal access code to set up a MyACT account.

All students are strongly encouraged to set up a MyACT account now so they can access results once they are released and as needed in the future.  Students have the option of sending their score report to up to 4 colleges free of charge.  This request must be made in the MyACT account before March 7.

Please note that students who do not set up an account before March 7 will receive a paper copy of their scores when they arrive, several weeks after scores are released online. Students should check their email regularly for any updates.  All future communication about the ACT, including test-day room assignments, will be sent via student email.
