Kudos to Carrie Dotson for representing Leesville Road High School at Broughton on Friday, March 20, as part of the Dance Adjudication Program.  She received a Superior Score for the Solo Contemporary Performance she choreographed.

 

Congratulations to our Instrumental Ensembles for participating in the annual Music Performance Adjudication assessment on March 17, 18, and 19. All four ensembles did very well!

• Intermediate Band, Grade III - Straight Superiors
• Concert Band, Grade V - Straight Superiors
• Symphonic Band, Grade VI/Masterworks - Straight Superiors and Straight As (highest possible score)
• Orchestra, Grade IV - Straight Superiors

Among all the Wake County high schools that participated with multiple ensembles, Leesville is the only school where each group earned a Straight Superior rating. We are very proud of these young musicians.

 

Reminder: Monday, April 6, 2026, is a Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students.

 

2026 National Honor Society Membership

Information about the 2026 NHS application has been posted on the school's website for rising juniors and seniors. There will be an optional information session on Wednesday, April 15, in the Media Center during both lunch periods. This session will help students understand the components of the application and provide answers to any questions. The application is due by 2:30 PM on Friday, May 8.
