Weekly Message 9/5/25

September is Attendance Awareness Month and we are promoting the importance of regular attendance.  Missing school, even a few days early in the year, can lead to chronic absenteeism which can negatively impact academic performance.  Being present helps students keep up with their learning and increases the chance of graduating.  It also allows students to socialize, build relationships, and feel better about themselves and their school experience.

Next week is a spirit week to promote regular attendance.  We want it to be our best week of attendance, yet!  Monday is pajama day, Tuesday is Superhero Day, Wednesday is Wacky Day, Thursday is Timber Drive Day, and Friday is College and Career Day.  Thank you for helping us promote good attendance!

We are happy to share that the order form for additional carpool tags is located under the school news section of our school website.  Additional carpool tags are $1 a piece and you can order a maximum of two additional tags.

Next Friday, September 12 is IA appreciation day!  Our IAs do a lot for our students and school!  Our IAs are Ms. Rogers, Ms. Seagroves, Ms. Dutra, Ms. Council, Ms. McCurtain, Mr. Finger, Ms. Hoepelman, Ms. Vickery, Ms. Greene, Ms. Avalos, Ms. Sweeny, and Ms. Schmidt.  Please consider a note of thanks or small token of appreciation to our wonderful IAs.
