Recently, several of our teachers received some well-deserved recognition.  Through our nomination and voting process, Ms. Brown in Third Grade was named our Teacher of the Year and Ms. Schmidt in ECS was named our Instructional Assistant of the Year! 
In addition, Ms. Norris in Kindergarten was recognized as the WRAL Teacher of the Week!  The news story will air on WRAL in the coming weeks.  Congratulations to these three amazing staff members! 

 
It is hard to believe, but next week is the mid-point of the second quarter!  All students should receive an interim report by the end of the week.  Reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the report. 

 
Next Tuesday and Thursday, our 5th graders will take the Math and Science Check-In assessment.  These assessments are EOG style assessments and will provide data on where students currently are with math and science.   They will have access to their results and teachers will use the results to guide their instruction and provide additional support to your child.  Please encourage your child to do their best on this assessment and reach out to your teacher with any questions.  Thank you for your support and have a great weekend!
