Single Subject Acceleration

Single Subject Acceleration (SSA):
SSA is the practice of placing a student in a higher-grade level in one subject area.
The purpose is to provide students with access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either English Language Arts (ELA) or math.
  • The Extended SSA Test Request Window is February 9 - 13.
  • All SSA Test Requests are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13.​ NO LATE SSA TEST REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
     
  • ​A parent may nominate a child for only one subject area, either English Language Arts (ELA) or math.
     
  • The SSA Test Request Form will begin accepting responses at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9.
    You must complete the below online SSA Test Request form to request testing for your child.
     
  • For additional information on SSA, please go to the following website and read all the information to make sure your child is a good candidate for SSA.
