Maverick Message for December 19, 2025
The staff at WECIB wants to thank our students and families for a fantastic semester! We hope everyone has a safe, fun, restful holiday break!
NEW CAMPUS INFORMATION
Can we see the campus before school starts on January 7? Yes! We will host a drop-In Open House on January 5 from 3 PM-6 PM. Students and families are welcome to come to the new campus during that time and walk around. Students can find their classrooms and see other parts of the building like the student commons, library, cafeteria, gym, auditorium, etc. Dr. Stotsenberg will provide a brief presentation at 5 PM; this will be especially helpful for parents to drive their student to school.
What is the Bell Schedule?
-
Here is the bell schedule for the new campus.
-
Here is the bell schedule for the WTCC campus (note that this one is not changing)
How will bus transportation work? All buses, including the one to Green Hope High School, will serve both campuses with a slightly adjusted pick-up time in the mornings. Please consult Infinite Campus for specific pick-up and drop-off times for your assigned bus. Questions? Contact Ms. Miranda (gmiranda@wcpss.net).
Can the new campus accommodate student drivers? Possibly, but spots are limited. We sent out a survey to parents of 10th grade students earlier this week and believe we can easily accommodate the current need. If your student is in 10th grade and already drives to school, or will drive to school at the new campus this school year, please complete this form as soon as possible. If you have already filled it out, there is no need to fill it out again. Questions? Contact Dr. Stots (astotsenberg@wcpss.net).
How will carpool work at the new campus? Parents will enter and exit campus via the entrance on Little Drive and students will be dropped off directly in front of the school. This process is much more similar to a traditional school carpool loop than what we currently have on the WTCC campus.
Will there be any changes at the WTCC Campus? The carpool process will take less time, especially in the afternoon, but there will be fewer staff members to help with the line. Please be mindful of traffic and pedestrians. Students will have a grade-level assembly on the first day back to school to review a few adjustments that will occur now that there are fewer students on campus.
