Important Senior Information
Class of 2026,
You made it! This is your year! We are so excited to celebrate the Class of 2026!
Mark Your Calendars - Your graduation ceremony will be Saturday, June 13th at 8pm.
There are a lot of things going on this year and please make sure you read this entire message so you don't miss anything!
There is a lot of information in the handbook. One of our goals is to support you throughout this year in the best way possible. Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions. The first page is important dates. Mark those on your calendar!

Senior Meetings
School counselors will meet with every student to help them plan their post-secondary plans, whether it is college, work or military.

Senior Support Days
Each year, the School Counselors provide TWO days for Seniors to get support in the college application process. Seniors are able to sign up for ONE block only. The sign-up links are provided below. School Counselors will support students with college applications, scholarships, college essays, and/or financial aid. You are responsible for any missed work in your class.

EARLY RELEASE/LATE ARRIVAL
If you have Early Release or Late Arrival, you must have a sticker on either your lunch pass or Student ID. The counselors went around the school this week to hand out stickers. If you have not gotten this sticker, please make sure you go to the main office and request one.

RANK and TRANSCRIPTS
We will be running rank on the 20th day of school. Currently, that date is September 22nd (this will change if we have any canceled days of school due to weather).
If you request a transcript now, your rank is incorrect. Please do your best to hold off on requesting a transcript until your transcript is accurate.
On September 24rd, we will be passing out a paper copy of your transcript in your Advisory class.
Here is the process for requesting transcripts...
For your PERSONAL USE - You may request an unofficial transcript through https://wcpss.scriborder.com/
Click on the Backpack
Fill out the form (make sure you answer all the starred boxes
Click the blue box and add your home address
For the Reason for Request, click the College box
For the Information Type, click Official High School Transcript box
Sign your name
Then click the green Update Fees button.
For IN-STATE Universities - Go to CFNC.org
Log In (if you don't have an account, create an account)
**It is very important that you include your school ID number and spell your last name just like it is in PowerSchool.
Click on the Application Hub
Find the school you would like to send your transcript to and send the transcript.
You can monitor CFNC's progress with this task.
For OUT-OF-STATE Universities - Go to https://wcpss.scriborder.com/
Click on the Backpack
Fill out the form (make sure you answer all the starred boxes
Click the blue box and add the university address
For the Reason for Request, click the College box
For the Information Type, click the Official High School Transcript box
Sign your name
Then click the green Update Fees button.

NC College Connect
If you’re a senior at a North Carolina public high school with a weighted GPA of 2.8 or above, and you meet the NC College Connect requirements (more on that below), you are automatically admitted to select North Carolina colleges and universities. As an eligible student, you will see a tailored list of colleges and universities in your portal, reflecting the institutions to which you're offered admission. All you need to do is submit a form to accept your admission—it’s easy!

Then click Claim Your Spot (Green Box in the right corner)
Log In to CFNC (You will have to make an account if you don't have one.)
The list of colleges will be there if you are eligible.
Remember COLLEGE FAIR is Wednesday, September 17th! We will have over 40+ colleges visiting!
The counselors will be presenting the Senior Information Meeting in the Auditorium at 6 p.m.! All Seniors and Parents welcome!
