No School on March 3rd: This is a Teacher Workday.  There will be no school for students on this day.

Interim Reports: Your student should be coming home with their Interim Report today.  Please be sure to view these so that you are aware of updates with your child’s academics and behaviors.  Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you did not receive the report.

Read Across America Week - Family Message: Join us in celebrating reading! Read Across America week is March 2nd-6th. Find our spirit day themes here! Make a goal to read every day with your child next week and watch them learn new words, grow their comprehension skills, and develop confidence!

Monday - Hat Day (Wear your favorite hat)

Tuesday (Workday) - Pajama Day (Wear pajamas at home and read, read, read!)

Wednesday - College Day (Wear your favorite college team or future college)

Thursday - Character Day ( Dress up as your favorite book character!)

Friday - Color Day (Wear your Wakelon Grade Level shirt!)

National School Social Worker Appreciation Week:  Next week is Social Worker’s Appreciation Week.  Let’s make time to celebrate our SW, Mrs. Cox-Smith.  

School Awareness Severe Weather Drill: The National Weather Service invites school communities to promote severe weather safety during this year’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week, recognized from March 1-7 in North Carolina. The week will include a statewide tornado drill on Thursday, March 4 at 9:30 a.m. Wakelon will be participating in this event.

Wakelon Yearbook (25-26) Yearbooks are now on sale for preorder.  If you would like to purchase a yearbook, please use the following link: https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/search/YB34406.  Yearbook presales will end on Friday March 27, 2026.  Paper copies of the yearbook order form will be available in January.
