Registration Reminders for Rising Seniors and NC College Connect

Rising seniors with a weighted GPA above 2.8 will receive a letter from NC College Connect with a list of NC colleges they are directly admitted to without a traditional application. Eligible students should expect a letter in early October. To qualify for this program all rising seniors must register for a fourth level math course for their senior year. This course must be completed in 2026-2027 to remain eligible for NC College Connect.

During the registration cycle, rising seniors should consider eligibility in this program when choosing classes. They need to meet all graduation requirements, take a 4th math credit, and consider completing 2 levels of a foreign language. You can read more about NC College Connect here.

Information on Course Registration for 26-27

On February 23, students will receive a packet for registration for classes for the 26-27 school year. This packet will include their teacher recommendations for next year courses and the grade level Course Selection Sheet where they will check off the classes they want to sign up for next year. This is a different process than previous years as students will turn in their registration information on paper and counselors will enter their selections into Infinite Campus. Please look over this information with your student so they are prepared to submit their course selections during second block on Thursday, February 26. This link will take you to the slides that students will see on Thursday when choosing classes. Grade level course selection sheets and curriculum information can be found at the MCHS Registration Student Services site.
