Principal's Message for 3/20/26
Hello Middle Creek Families, here is some information for you as we wrap up the week:
General Information:
A state law passed in 2023 requiring all public school students in grades 6-12 to view videos called Protecting Our Students. MCHS will be showing the videos at 9am on March 26th in the 2nd block. Here is more information in a parent letter.
2026-2027 Course Verification Forms going home Monday, due Friday.
Students who are assigned to MCHS for the 26-27 school year will receive a Course Verification Sheet on Monday in their second block class. Core classes are listed under Required Courses and all elective choice options are listed under Requested Courses (in alphabetical order, not preference order). Counselors have checked courses for prerequisites and made adjustments where needed. Please look over this list with your student and sign the bottom to acknowledge these courses. If your student would like to make changes to their selections, they should cross out the course they want to remove and neatly write in the course they want to add. They will turn these forms into Student Services by Friday, March 27. All AP Statements of Understanding, Mid-Year Graduate, and Early Release/Late Arrival forms are due by March 27 as well for priority scheduling.
Wake Tech Careers Electric Summer Academy
Is your student interested in earning $2000 while participating in the Wake Tech Careers Electric Summer Academy for Electrical Systems Technology? This free six-week program will allow students to get a jump-start on their career aspirations through classroom instruction led by Wake Tech faculty and on-the-job training through internships, all while earning a $2,000 stipend, accumulating six hours of college credit by completing Residential Wiring and National Electrical Code courses, and serving in a registered pre-apprenticeship. Students will be provided with all necessary materials. The deadline to apply is March 29 and there is a mandatory student/parent online meeting that families should register for as soon as possible. More info here.
