During this season of thanks, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to each of you for your generosity and support during our new underwear and coat drive, as well as for your assistance in helping families during the holidays. Your kindness makes a tremendous difference in our community. Additionally, we are grateful for your joining us in recognizing and celebrating Dr. Loehman, our School Psychologist, and Ms. Bocciardi, our Intervention Facilitator/Teacher. Your continued partnership and appreciation of our staff help make Oak Grove such a special place for our students.

Scholastic Book Fair - Breakfast and Books With Your Favorite Person

Our Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner! It will run from December 1st to December 12th. This year, we are excited to continue our popular event, Breakfast and Books with Your Favorite Person! Students are welcome to bring a special guest—whether it’s a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, or family friend—to enjoy breakfast together in the cafeteria and visit the Book Fair.

🕰 Time: 8:15 AM - 9:15 AM
🍽 Menu: Fresh Baked Cinnamon Swirl Bun, Cinnamon Chex Cereal, Lucky Charms Cereal, Blueberry Chex Cereal, Honey Cheerios Cereal, Strawberry Banana Yogurt Box

We kindly ask families to fill out the RSVP form to ensure Child Nutrition Services prepares enough food. We can’t wait to see you at this special event!

🎁 Spread Holiday Cheer: Otters Helping Otters Gift Card Drive for Oak Grove Families 🎁

This holiday season, you can make a direct difference for Oak Grove families who need a little extra support.

We are collecting gift cards to ensure every family in our community can experience the warmth and joy of the holidays. If your family needs a little extra help with gifts or necessities this holiday season, you are invited to request assistance through our program. The donated gift cards will be distributed to participating families before students begin their winter break.

Lost & Found to be Donated on December 19

Our lost and found will be donated to Dorcas Ministries after school on Friday, December 19, 2025. Please remind your child(ren) to check the lost and found in the cafeteria. If you wish to look for yourself, you can check during Arts Night and Breakfast with Books.

🦦Calling All Future Otters! 🦦

Kindergarten Registration for the 2025–2026 school year begins October 15th! Families with children who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2025, are encouraged to register early. Please see the flyers for information on how to register and how to prepare your child for Kindergarten. We can’t wait to welcome our newest Otters to the Oak Grove family! 💚

Families can set spending limits on MySchoolBucks

Remind families that they can set daily or weekly limits or turn off a la carte snack purchases entirely through their MySchoolBucks account. This feature gives families more control over cafeteria spending while still allowing students to purchase full meals.

From the Yearbook Club📔

The Yearbook Cover Contest is officially open! It is open to all students in grades 3-5. This year's theme is "Game On"! Remember that the works must be neat, in full color, and that you can mix different techniques. The works must be delivered to Mr. Carter by December 12.
