Welcome back, Track 2! We hope you enjoyed a restful track-out. Track 1, enjoy your time away—we already look forward to welcoming you back soon! Wow! Where has the time gone? It’s hard to believe that we are just two weeks away from winter break and the conclusion of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year. Our students have been working hard, learning, growing, and making us proud every single day.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Arts Night! What a fantastic evening of creativity and celebration. It was a joy to see so many families come out to support our incredibly talented Otters. From artwork to performances, our students truly shined!
Our Book Fair is in full swing this week, and excitement is in the air! Students have enjoyed previewing the books and creating wish lists before shopping. We hope you or a special guest can join your child for Breakfast with Books on Thursday, December 11th, at 8:15 AM. (More information can be found below!) This is the final week to take advantage of the Book Fair, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to support a love of reading at home while also helping our media center grow.
Finally, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our Oak Grove community. Whether you have donated holiday gift cards, volunteered at PTA events or in classrooms, or dropped off snacks for the staff lounge—please know how much we appreciate you. Your time, kindness, and partnership continue to make Oak Grove such a special place for students and staff.

Scholastic Book Fair - Breakfast and Books With Your Favorite Person
Our Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner! It will run from December 1st to December 12th. This year, we are excited to continue our popular event, Breakfast and Books with Your Favorite Person! Students are welcome to bring a special guest—whether it’s a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, or family friend—to enjoy breakfast together in the cafeteria and visit the Book Fair.

🍽 Menu: Fresh Baked Cinnamon Swirl Bun, Cinnamon Chex Cereal, Lucky Charms Cereal, Blueberry Chex Cereal, Honey Cheerios Cereal, Strawberry Banana Yogurt Box
We kindly ask families to fill out the RSVP form to ensure Child Nutrition Services prepares enough food. We can’t wait to see you at this special event!
Lost & Found to be Donated on December 19
Our lost and found will be donated to Dorcas Ministries and A Note in the Pocket after school on Friday, December 19, 2025. Please remind your child(ren) to check the lost and found in the cafeteria. If you wish to look for yourself, you can check during Breakfast with Books.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2025–2026 school year begins October 15th! Families with children who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2025, are encouraged to register early. Please see the flyers for information on how to register and how to prepare your child for Kindergarten. We can’t wait to welcome our newest Otters to the Oak Grove family! 💚

The Yearbook Cover Contest is officially open! It is open to all students in grades 3-5. This year's theme is "Game On"! Remember that the works must be neat, in full color, and that you can mix different techniques. The works must be delivered to Mr. Carter by December 12.
