Transportation
- Please double-check that your child has a transportation tag on their backpack and that all the information is accurate. If changes need to be made, please notify your teacher right away.
- If your child is a car rider, be sure you are displaying a Sycamore Creek carpool tag each afternoon. No homemade tags! If you need a tag, please notify your teacher or front office, and we will be glad to provide them for you.
- Do not get out of your car in carpool. If your child is not able to unbuckle or buckle, please pull into a parking space or in the white zone, in front of the carpool lane by the gate, to help your child.
- All children should enter and exit the car on the right passenger side.
- If your child is a bus rider, be sure to use the Here Comes the Bus app. We will also be sending out the daily bus departure times each afternoon through Talking Points. This means you will only get notifications for your child’s individual bus. If your child is not assigned bus transportation you will not get a notification. Talking Points is set up for everyone already, but you can decide if you want the notification to come through the app or via text. If you would like to change how you receive the message, you can do so in settings in the Talking Points App.
If you do not want to receive any bus notifications through Talking Points, email keller@wcpss.net and you will be removed from receiving bus notifications this year.
- If your child is a walker, they must live within the walk zone and actually walk to and/or from school to their home. You must complete a Walker Permission form each year.
