Hello, Rolesville MS Families,

This is Ms. Cooper with a weekly update!  I hope you are all safe, warm, and enjoying the snow!  If you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please feel free to reach out to me.  I want to hear them all!

• Protecting Our Students Classroom Lesson: Due to new state laws, and an ongoing commitment to keep students safe and prioritize their wellbeing, all students in grades 6-12 are required to watch the Protecting our Students videos.  Please click this link for more information and an opportunity to preview the videos.  

 

• Second Semester Schedule Changes:  Students seeking a schedule change may pick up a form from his/her homeroom teacher. Forms must be signed by a parent and returned to the grade level counselor by Wednesday, February 4.  Any forms submitted after the deadline must be reviewed by Ms. Cooper for approval. Students should continue to follow their schedule until notified by the counselor that a change has been made. There will be no changes if the student chose the elective class as a primary or alternate, with the exception being students wanting to enter into or remain in chorus.  

 

• Athletics: The home basketball game against Wendell Middle School has been rescheduled to this Wednesday, February 4th. We will also host Neuse River on Thursday.

• Carpool: Carpool families, in the mornings students must remain in the vehicle with you until 7:45. We do not have supervision prior to this time.  Students cannot be left outside without proper supervision.  If this time is not convenient for you, please register for bus transportation. Thank you for anticipated cooperation.
• Parent Engagement Survey: The RMS Family Engagement Committee is seeking input from families to strengthen connections between home and school. Our goal is to identify the best ways to communicate with families and provide meaningful support to help them engage in their students’ learning at home. Parent Engagement Survey

• Rent the Rock - SIGN UP to paint the rock for a week. 

• Sign-ups are from Sunday to Saturday, with the weekend before to paint.   Select your week below to reserve the Rock!
• You are responsible for providing the paint and painting the rock. 
• Payment is required within 1 week of reservation. CLICK HERE TO PAY

• You can still become a member of the RMS PTA. The cost is $10 per parent for $18 for a family. CLICK HERE to become a member.  Anyone in your family can have a membership.

Hola, familias de Rolesville MS,

¡Les saluda la Sra. Cooper con una actualización semanal! Espero que todos estén bien, abrigados y disfrutando de la nieve. Si tienen alguna pregunta, inquietud o comentario, no duden en comunicarse conmigo. ¡Quiero escucharlos a todos!

• Lección en el aula sobre la protección de nuestros estudiantes: Debido a las nuevas leyes estatales y a nuestro compromiso continuo de mantener a los estudiantes seguros y priorizar su bienestar, todos los estudiantes de 6.º a 12.º grado deben ver los videos de "Protegiendo a nuestros estudiantes". • Cambios en el horario del segundo semestre: Los estudiantes que deseen un cambio de horario pueden obtener un formulario de su maestro tutor. Los formularios deben estar firmados por un padre o tutor y entregados al consejero de su nivel de grado antes del miércoles 4 de febrero. Cualquier formulario enviado después de la fecha límite deberá ser revisado por la Sra. Cooper para su aprobación. Los estudiantes deben continuar siguiendo su horario hasta que el consejero les notifique que se ha realizado un cambio. No habrá cambios si el estudiante eligió la clase electiva como opción principal o alternativa, con la excepción de los estudiantes que deseen ingresar o permanecer en el coro.

 

• Deportes: El partido de baloncesto en casa contra Wendell Middle School se ha reprogramado para este miércoles 4 de febrero. También recibiremos a Neuse River el jueves.

 

• A quién llamar: Consulten este documento cuando se comuniquen con la escuela con respecto a su hijo/a. Documento 25-26 A quién llamar

• Transporte escolar: Familias que usan el transporte escolar, por las mañanas los estudiantes deben permanecer en el vehículo con ustedes hasta las 7:45. No contamos con supervisión antes de esa hora. Los estudiantes no pueden quedarse afuera sin la supervisión adecuada. Si este horario no les resulta conveniente, regístrense para el transporte en autobús. Gracias por su cooperación.

• Encuesta de participación de los padres: El Comité de Participación Familiar de RMS está buscando la opinión de las familias para fortalecer las conexiones entre el hogar y la escuela. Nuestro objetivo es identificar las mejores maneras de comunicarnos con las familias y brindarles un apoyo significativo para ayudarlas a participar en el aprendizaje de sus hijos en casa.
