Olds Families, please help us congratulate Ms. Sarah Johnston as she has been voted our Teacher of the Year! Ms. Johnston has connected with students and families at Olds for several years and has consistently made our campus come to life with incredible artwork. She has taught at a variety of schools such as Sidwell Friends Lower School, Chicago Public Schools, the Latin School of Chicago and now serves as our Visual Art teacher here at Olds Elementary. As an elementary educator, Ms. Johnston strives to give her students the creative freedom to make a wide range of art and to also learn about a variety of diverse artists from the past to contemporary artists working today. When she has time to make her own art, Ms. Johnston enjoys pulling prints, watercolor painting, drawing, and knitting.
