North Garner Middle families, 

First, know that all students are safe.

To keep you informed, I wanted to make you aware that we have received a report of a threat that is specific to the football game scheduled for 4 p.m. today. Out of an abundance of caution, we are postponing today’s game. A new date for the game will be shared soon.

We take any and all potential threats to our school seriously. As soon as we were made aware of the threat, we contacted WCPSS Security and law enforcement. They are investigating to evaluate the credibility of the threat. 

Please take the time to talk to your child about the importance of reporting any threats to a school administrator immediately. Please also remind them that making a hoax threat has serious consequences, including the possibility of criminal prosecution and suspension from school.

Know that we will continue to take every measure to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
