Dress Policy

Students should be dressed appropriately for school and must wear clothing that covers their skin from chest to mid-thigh. Shorts should be long enough to cover their bottom and get to the mid-thigh area. This does mean that mid-driffs should be covered (ie. no crop tops).

With the warmer weather, please make sure your students are wearing appropriate shoes to run and play outside for recess and that they are bringing their water bottles to school to stay hydrated. For our older students, please help them remember that hygiene is important in the morning and things like deodorant do make a difference as it gets warmer!

Important Morning Carpool Safety Reminders

Safety is our top priority! Please remember the following when dropping students off in the morning in carpool:

  • Please stay off of your cell phone - they are a distraction!

  • Students should not exit the car unless they are in the marked unloading zone

  • Pull ALL THE WAY forward in the line

  • DO NOT pass a car that has students unloading

  • Be aware of staff directing traffic and of student crossing the lane of traffic

Thank you for helping keep everyone safe at carpool each day!!

KidzArt - New Session Enrolling

KidzArt Session 4 is enrolling! Classes start on April 14 (track 4 starts on Apr 21). Every week is a new project and returning students are welcome, as art projects do not repeat. Class meets on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 pm in the Art Room for K-5th grades students. Your child will bring home a finished artwork that he/she will be proud of each week! For more info contact Chen the owner at cjiang@kidzart.com. To register please visit www.northraleigh.kidzart.com.

March Wellness Newsletter

Please take some time to read the March Wellness Newsletter from one of our school counselors, Ms. Kalec. 🌟 HES PTA – Mid-March Memo

🌼 Volunteer Season Continues at HES!

Thank you for your continued support of our HES community! As we head into a busy spring season, we have several opportunities to get involved—every bit of time makes a difference.

⭐ PTA Nominations – Volunteers Needed

PTA nominations are still underway, and we are looking for volunteers to support the many committees working behind the scenes to plan events, support staff, and strengthen our school community.

🌿 Grounds Committee – Sign Up to Help

Much of the care that keeps our campus looking beautiful is done by our amazing volunteers. While WCPSS handles mowing and selective large projects, many of the smaller landscaping tasks are made possible by families who generously give their time.

Volunteer slots are still open for the end of this month, as well as May and June. Even a short amount of time can make a big impact.
