BRAVO! We had another excellent performance by Mrs. Meduri’s Class and our Tr 4 3rd Graders and All Track Honors Choir at the Spring Performance last night! Lights, Camera, Action #2 was pure entertainment with lots of stars of the show! WCPSS Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor, joined us for the afternoon performance and he was truly impressed by all of our student performers - it was the highlight of his day!
Thank you to the HES PTA for hosting our Family Dance earlier this month. We had so much fun and had a great evening spent with family and friends!
We look forward to seeing everyone at our Math Family Night at Publix this coming Wednesday, May 6th from 5-7pm. Join us for an engaging math homework activity and shop for a delicious dinner while you are there! Your teachers can’t wait to see you at Publix!
Teacher Appreciation Week (May 11th - 15th)
We LOVE our teachers, instructional assistants, and support staff and can’t wait to celebrate them during Teacher Appreciation week May 11th - 15th with at Teaching Like It’s 1999! Theme. More information can be found below from our PTA regarding simple ways we can all celebrate our staff with hand made cards/notes, etc. but mark your calendars now to be able to plan ahead! THANK YOU for the support you show our staff each and every day - THEY ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST and deserve to be celebrated!

Proposed Calendar Change - Please Review Information Previously Shared by WCPSS Regarding the Proposed Calendar Change
On April 14, district staff were scheduled to present calendar change recommendations to the Facilities Committee of the Board of Education. These recommendations were developed following community engagement sessions and initial discussions regarding our school
Due to a power outage, the presentation was unable to be streamed or recorded and was rescheduled to the Board Work Session on May 5. Final recommendations are expected to be approved by the Board at its regular scheduled meeting on May 19.
Thank you to all who have participated in our community engagement opportunities. We are grateful for the opportunity to share information about this work. If you were unable to take part in past information sessions, recordings and an updated FAQ are available using the links provided on our Calendar Conversion page.

The best way to provide feedback and ask questions about the process is by visiting our online forum, ThoughtExchange, which will remain open until May 13. A summary of insights, concerns and suggestions captured will be shared with the Board during their Work Session on May 19.
