Single Subject Acceleration Testing

SSA Testing Information

New Students to WCPSS

Beginning with the 2025-2026 academic year, newly enrolled and newly attending WCPSS students will have the opportunity to participate in Fall SSA (Single Subject Acceleration) Testing. They must start this process within the first two weeks of enrollment/attendance.  Fall testing is only available within the first two weeks of enrollment or before the end of the 1st quarter, whichever comes first.  Students enrolling after the first quarter will have to wait until the Spring testing window.

  • All kindergarteners must wait until the Spring to be assessed for SSA.
  • Students who enroll at the end of the first quarter must have all testing completed prior to the quarter ending.
  • Students will not be able to test outside the testing window beyond the first quarter
  • Students who are outside the designated time period will be eligible to be assessed during the SSA Spring Test Window
  • The fall SSA testing window will not be extended to accommodate students who enroll at the end of first quarter; those students should test during the Spring SSA window
  • If a student enrolls after the Spring test administration, during the same school year, he/she will have two weeks to take the assessment or before the school year ends, whichever comes first.
