Students at Bugg have the opportunity to follow two magnet pathways. First, Reedy Creek Magnet Middle Center for the Digital Sciences and then to Athens Drive Magnet High Center for Medical Sciences and Global Health. Second, Carroll Magnet Middle Leadership in Technology and then to Southeast Raleigh Magnet High IB World School School of Design, Arts, and Engineering.
Students choose a new elective for each quarter and take that course everyday for the nine weeks. These courses are taught by grade band (K/1, 2/3, 4/5), and the course curriculum rotates each year to ensure that students have an opportunity to choose from a brand new set of Electives each year.
