The Special Education department at West Lake Elementary is a multi-talented group of individuals who closely collaborate with parents, general education teachers and related services to create a dynamic team. Together with our teaching assistants, we provide individualized instruction and support using the pull-out model in our learning labs as well as the inclusion model within our general education classrooms, making sure that we meet the unique needs of our exceptional learners across all settings.  Our energy and enthusiasm, close-knit team and desire for new research strategies and professional development is the driving force behind our program.

West Lake Elementary is composed of four cross categorical resource teachers (CCR), psychologist, speech pathologist, and occupational therapist.  Our building also hosts three regional programs including two elementary behavior support classrooms (EBS), and a preschool classroom (Pre-K).
