Mrs. Olmstead is thrilled to be the 6th grade Assistant Principal at Apex Friendship Middle School. It was an honor to help open the school in 2018, and she continues to look forward to each year with a new group of students. 

Middle school aged students have always held a special place in-her heart. Since beginning her career in the Wake County Public School System 24 years ago, she’s considered it her passion to connect with students during this critical time in their development. Now entering her 13th year as an Assistant Principal, she’s more committed than ever to her calling.

Faith and family are a big deal to her. This year she will be married to her amazing husband, Christian, for 26 years. They have 4 children. Her two oldest sons have graduated and are exploring “adulthood.” Her two youngest daughters are 14 and 16, and keep her feeling young. These kids are her heart and soul. When she isn’t attending her children’s events, she loves to travel with her husband as well as work on house projects, and exercise together (biking, pickle-ball, running, etc.). If she has a weekend free, which is rare, you will likely find her at a beach or a pool.
