Students in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade will have access to WCPSS Chromebooks in their classrooms, located in classroom Chromebook carts.

Students in 3rd through 5th Grade are able to receive an individual WCPSS Chromebook.  These Chromebooks will be assigned to each individual  student using their Wake ID Student #.

If you are a parent/guardian needing assistance with technology, please contact your child's teacher.

🔌Chromebook Chargers

• If your student needs a replacement charger for their Chromebook, we can help!
• Replacement Chromebook chargers are now available for students in the media center.
• Please inform your child's teachers that they need a replacement charger and we will help them acquire their new one.

💻NEW to WCPSS & NEEDS a Chromebook

• The parent/guardian(s) should receive information for students in grades 3rd through 5th about acquiring a WCPSS student Chromebook.
  • If you did not receive this information or need to request one, please contact your child's teacher.
  • We can request a device to be assigned to your child.
  • The device will then be sent to OCE and assigned to the student.

💻Already WCPSS Student But NEEDS a Device (never had one before)

• WCPSS Chromebooks are available for individual students in grades 3rd through 5th.
• Parent/guardian(s) need to contact their child's teacher to request a device for their student (3rd - 5th grade only).
  • The device will then be sent to OCE and assigned to the student.

💻Current WCPSS Student Chromebook Isn't Working

• The parent/guardian will need to contact their child's teacher and explain the issue.  The teacher will then pass it on to our technology contacts here at Olive Chapel Elementary.
• When it’s repaired and returned, the device will be dropped off at the student's classroom, and no further action is needed.
