    Hello PUE Families,

Happy Thursday PUE Families and happy track-out day for our track 3 students. We hope you have a great trackout and we'll see you on Monday, 5/12. Track 4, we look forward to seeing you track-in on Tuesday 4/22. Please note that Monday, 4/21 is a school day for Tracks 1 and 2 only. Also, a reminder that there is no school for staff or students tomorrow, Friday, 4/18. We hope everyone enjoys the three day weekend, and a happy Easter and joyous Passover for those who celebrate.

Every year, WCPSS conducts a survey for parents about the schools their children are currently in. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. The results from these surveys always help us know what we are doing well, and areas that we continue to improve upon. Help PUE make your child's school experience as positive as possible by responding to the questions in our family survey by May 16. The survey is anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes. You can provide feedback using this link - http://surveys.panoramaed.com/wakecounty/familyPlease contact Ms. McNeill if you have any questions.

Our PTA is also thrilled to partner with Flyleaf books to bring award-winning author Pam Muñoz Ryan to PUE for an assembly for grades 3-5. On May 15, at 9:30am, she will be discussing her new book El Niño. Students can preorder personalized copies of one of Pam’s book from Flyleaf and receive a 10% discount. You can view the selection and make your purchase hereDeadline for orders is noon on May 14, 2025. If your student is tracked out during this time, they are invited to attend the presentation.

    Hello PUE Families,

Happy Friday PUE Families. Don't forget that Tracks 1 and 3 only have a makeup day tomorrow, Saturday 4/5. School begins on at 9:15am and dismissal begins at 12:45pm. Breakfast will be available like normal, but lunch will not be served. Please plan on sending in a snack with your child.

Next Thursday is our first Field Day for the school year for tracks 1 and 3. If the weather does not cooperate, the rain date is tentatively set for 4/16. If need to reschedule, we will notify tracks 1 and 3 by Wednesday evening. Our Field Days have been a huge success in large part due to all the parent volunteers that come out to support the event. We are asking for your help again this year to have another successful event. We need volunteers to help work the stations for the students as well as there are several donations we are looking for. Any help you can provide is always greatly appreciated. See below in the newsletter for the dates, volunteer sign-up, and field day wishlist items. If you have any questions, please email Ben Stern (PE Teacher) directly at bsstern@wcpss.net.

Finally, I know many families are anxious to have their track assignment for next year. We are working on finalizing tracks, and hope to have them sent by the end of the month. If your child's track changes, and vacations have already been booked, I will work with your family on the missed days.

    Hello PUE Families,

I hope everyone was able to stay safe and warm during the snow! Due to weather, we know not all of our students had a chance to get to the book fair, so we will have it open at least one more day on Monday 2/24.

Due to the missed days, we will have to makeup some of the missed school days on Saturdays. Please make sure to read the details carefully so that you know what Saturday to attend based on your child's track. Note that these days are 1/2 days, so students are released at 12:45pm.

For Tracks 1 and 3 makeup days:

    Saturday March 1st- 9:15am-12:45pm

    Saturday April 5th- 9:15am- 12:45pm

    For Track 4 makeup day:

    Saturday March 1st- 9:15am-12:45pm

    Hello PUE Families,

Happy Friday and Happy Valentines Day! With the book fair in full swing, our students are definitely in love with reading this week. Happy trackout day to track 2. We hope you have a great trackout and we'll see you in a few weeks. We welcome track 3 back to school on Monday, 2/17.

Our book fair is running for one more week. Checkout a letter with detailed information here. We also still need some volunteers to help during throughout the bookfair. Checkout the volunteer signup to see if you can help at any point over the next week. We also still have one more morning book fair event on 2/19 from 8am-8:40am where parents can come with their students to checkout the book fair and make purchases.

Next Wednesday, Ms. Shipley will host an online information session on Single Subject Acceleration Testing for the 25-26 school year. The deadlines are very strict for this process so please join the information session or view the saved recording on her website afterwards for important information.

Lastly, as is normal this time of year, illness has increased dramatically, particularly the flu. If your child is experiencing flu-like symptoms, please keep them home from school to prevent the spread. Children should be fever-free, without the use of fever-reducing medications, for 24 hours prior to returning to school. We appreciate your support in this.
