Ms. Trinity Kelly

Greetings Wildwood Forest Families,

With great excitement, I write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed principal of Wildwood Forest Magnet Elementary Academy of Arts and Design. I am honored to be named the new principal of a school community that values students' academic success and growth.

As a child from a military background, my family moved every three years. Thus, beginning my journey and love for education. As the “new kid,” I had to learn to adjust to every move. This solidified my love of family and cultural diversity. I found that every school afforded me the opportunity to grow and excel. In wanting to be an educator, it was a direct result of wanting to emulate the love and care given to me by my teachers. My passion for curriculum and instruction, diversity, cultural responsiveness, and care for all students began 20 years ago. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Studies and a Masters in School Administration from Campbell University. I student-taught, became a teacher, and started my administrative journey at Triton High School. As a lifelong learner, I continued my pursuits and obtained an Educational Specialist degree from Wingate University. For nine amazing years, I had the opportunity to work with elementary students in Harnett County in the capacity of an assistant principal and then principal for six and a half years. I joined the WCPSS team as the API at Sanderson High School. I value every experience afforded to me along my educational journey, learning and growing to become the leader I am today.

I am enthusiastic about the future of Wildwood Forest as we welcome our Magnet status and continue strong partnerships with families and the community. Our newly found Academy of Arts and Design will provide students with additional opportunities to see growth and academic success in a variety of ways. Knowing that all students can learn, grow, and achieve at high levels.

I committed to working in partnership with our families, staff, students, and school community. My official start date is November 1, 2022 and I cannot wait for the opportunity to meet and get to know you. I look forward to seeing and working with you soon.

Sincerely,

Trinity Kelly

Principal
