PBIS - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support

  • Leesville Road Elementary School is a PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) school that focuses on recognizing positive behavior. Teachers implement the expectations of how students can ROAR throughout the day in common areas such as the cafeteria, hallway/sidewalk, playground, restrooms, media center, and arrival/dismissal.

P: Perseverance - working hard today for success tomorrow
R: Respect - appreciating ourselves, others and our surroundings
I: Integrity - choosing to do the right thing even when no one is watching
D: Determination -staying focused to achieve your goals
E: Empathy - listening and caring

Classes have opportunities to earn cub coupons for demonstrating these expectations during the day from other staff members.

Individuals that are following these expectations receive PRIDE cash that adds up to reach tangible items from the cub cash store or non-tangible items from their homeroom teachers.
