Greetings Families! My name is Burt Batten and I am excited to serve you and your child as Principal of Morrisville Elementary.

My goal is to make Morrisville a wonderful school for your child. I look forward to partnering with you to provide your child an enriching learning environment and to support your child's academic progress, character, and skills.

I have worked for the Wake County Public School System since 1999 as a teacher and administrator. After working as an administrator at year round schools in the district from 2008 to 2016 I was honored to open Pleasant Grove Elementary and serve as its leader from 2016 to 2023. Now, I am excited to join Morrisville and look forward to working with you and your child.

Hello Mustangs! It is my honor to continue serving as your Assistant Principal this school year. I am thrilled to have been a part of the Morrisville Elementary School Family for six years now! Having worked with elementary students and teachers throughout my entire adult life, I am incredibly thankful to continue this meaningful work here at MES.

Building strong relationships with students and families is my top priority, and I am dedicated to the success of all students, teachers, and staff at Morrisville Elementary. I feel privileged to collaborate with the Morrisville PTA and other community stakeholders as we uphold the great legacy of Morrisville Elementary. We Are MES!
