Background:
Mr. Hokenberg is originally from Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in Northern New Jersey. He began his educational career teaching middle school math in Clifton, NJ. In 2008, he moved to Cary with his wife and began his career with Wake County Public Schools. Mr. Hokenberg has served in leadership roles at both the school level and within central services. For the past three years, he has served as Principal at Mt. Vernon Middle School. Mr. Hokenberg is married and has two children, ages 10 and 5. He is passionate about building strong and lasting relationships, ensuring that all students reach their full potential.
