Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program

  • The Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program provides an appropriately challenging education for students who perform, or show potential for performing, at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment. Services for AIG students include differentiated curriculum and instruction that extends and enriches Common Core State Standards.

     

    Mrs. Londe will host a virtual information meeting for 3rd-5th grade families on Thursday, August 8 at 6:00 PM.

    Mrs. Londe will discuss the AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted) program at WCES.

    Topics include:

    • Purpose and goals of the program
    • Process for nominating and identifying students
    • 4th and 5th grade AIG classes
    • Talent Development students
    • 3rd grade screening tests and Explorers groups
