About: I grew up in Cary, NC and after graduating from Cary High School, I went to East Carolina University and received a B.S. in Business Administration.  I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 16 years.  During my time there, I went to Meredith College and obtained an MBA.  Although I enjoyed my time in “Corporate America”, I have always had a profound interest in teaching.  This led me to pursue my true calling.  I enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Meredith College. I student taught in 2nd grade at Washington and then joined the 4th grade team.  I am committed to the academic, social, and emotional success of all my students.  It is a joy seeing them learn and grow!  My husband and I have two sons and one exuberant labradoodle. I love spending time with my family, reading, and watching Duke basketball.
