Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program is designed to assist students in making knowledgeable career choices that will prepare them to be globally competitive in the workforce, prepare students for employment opportunities, advanced education and productive lives.
CTE promotes best practices that enhance teachers' efforts to improve student achievement and encourage responsible career choices. We want to meet students' needs, cultivate their abilities and help them realize their aspirations. Your Career Development Coordinator can help you develop the skills you need to become career, college and citizenship ready.

Donnell Staton
Hello students and parents! My name is Donnell M. Staton, Jr. and this is my eleventh year at Fred J. Carnage GT-AIG Magnet Middle School. As your school CDC, students are offered exploratory courses in business and information technologies, life skills, technology systems, and career decisions. I have also served as the FBLA Advisor for eight years.
I have obtained a Master of Administration in Educational Leadership from Queens University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Shaw University, and two associate degrees from Edgecombe Committee College.
I enjoy teaching because it's my passion. My motivation is, if we teach students life skills, we shape them to lead our future. They are our future business owners, entrepreneurs, and innovators. My goals are to develop well-rounded students, including physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
I enjoy sports, reading, traveling, family time, and my time.
