Hi First Grade Families! 

I'm Anna O'Brien, and I am looking forward to being your child's teacher this year!

I'm from the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York. I have my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/English Literature and my master's in Literacy Education, both from SUNY New Paltz. 

I have been teaching at FVES since 2018. I live with my husband and 2 German Shepherds in Fuquay-Varina. I love Star Wars, anime, yoga, and reading. 

I believe that each child deserves an enthusiastic teacher and a welcoming school environment where they can thrive and grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. 

We encourage creativity, risk-taking, and provide hands-on learning experiences.
