My name is Michelle Schimmelpenningh and I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade!
I'm originally from Illinois where I received my Bachelor's degree and then moved to North Carolina to teach 4th grade before changing grade levels and teaching Kindergarten.
I took a few years off from teaching when my boys were babies and then went to teach at a small preschool. My boys are now older, so I'm back to teaching at the elementary school level.
I live in Willow Spring with my husband, my two boys and my Black Lab/Border Collie mix. In my spare time, I love traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, as well as watching my kids participate in their sports/activities.
I'm looking forward to a WONDERFUL year getting to know you and your family as we work together to help your child learn and grow!
