I have proudly been a second grade teacher at Apex Elementary for thirty-one years.

I grew up in Lumberton, North Carolina but have called Cary my home for thirty-five years. I attended East Carolina University and Meredith College, majoring in psychology and early childhood education. I attained my National Board Certification in 2005.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for forty-two years and have two amazing sons and five awesome grandchildren. I enjoy reading mysteries, hiking in the Appalachian Mountains and spending time with my family.

I am so excited about the upcoming year! Go Cougars!
