Curtis Harris, Principal
My name is Curtis Harris, and it has been my honor to serve as the Principal of Longview School for the past 3 years. I look forward to continuing to build a school community that is supportive of any need a student, or their families, may have. I have had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Principal at Wakefield High School, as well as, here, at Longview School. Prior to that, I was a high school English teacher and Instructional Coach at Phillips High School, also a part of the Wake County Public School System. As your Principal, I will continue to work to ensure that Longview School is a safe place in which special education students receive equitable access to social emotional programming and a standards-based education.

Lawrence Braswell, Assistant Principal
My name is Lawrence Braswell, and I'm proud to serve as Assistant Principal at Longview School. I have worked in education for 9 years, 8 of which have been at Longview. I've served as the English teacher at both the middle and high school levels, a Special Education teacher, and the Special Education Department Chair here at Longview before being honored with the chance to serve as Assistant Principal.
I firmly believe that learning is a life-long pursuit that all people should have the chance to engage with. To that end, I'm dedicated to instilling a passion for curiosity and critical thinking in all learners, regardless of age, skill, or ability. In addition, I am equally passionate about ensuring that students, families, and staff have their Social/Emotional needs met, since learning requires a safe and supportive environment.
