My name is Natalie Risoli, and I couldn’t be more excited to teach your kiddos this year. I believe that establishing an atmosphere of trust and compassion leads to growth for both myself as well as my students. I want your child to be excited about learning and confident enough to take risks, learning from their mistakes.

 

I grew up an Air Force brat and moved around much of my life. I had to learn to roll with the punches and make friends at the drop of a hat. I spent my teen years in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and graduated from Manteo High School in 1998. I attended The University of North Carolina Wilmington and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Elementary Education. Not wanting to leave the beach, I began teaching in Wilmington in 2003 and remained at the same school for 14 years! I taught 2nd grade for four years and spent the remainder (a decade) teaching 5th. I moved to Raleigh 7 years ago and was welcomed into the Yates Mill family as a 4th grade teacher. I've moved closer to home this year and couldn't be happier to join the FVES family! 

 

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband TJ, my daughter June, and my lil man “Turk." He’s an 11 lb. Silky with a big personality. My baby girl turned 4 in June, and she is my world! I also enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking, dancing, laughing, and spending QT with my family.

 

I couldn’t be more excited about meeting each of you and getting to spend the year with the best group of kids ever!
