Mission Statement
The mission of the Student Support Services Department at Longview School is to guide all students toward academic, personal/social, and career success. By collaborating with other educators, the families of students, and members of the community, we aim to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to become effective learners and productive members of their communities.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to create a comprehensive school counseling program that will help every student acquire the academic, career, and personal/social skills to reach their fullest educational potential and successfully manage their lives as healthy, responsible , competent, and productive citizens who respect themselves and others.

The school counseling program will be evaluated on goals related to student competencies and will be consistent with expected developmental stages of learning.
Professional school counselors will use data to drive counseling program development and evaluation, and will actively monitor student results.
Professional school counselors will participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities to maintain a quality school counseling program.
