  • STEM EARLY COLLEGE


    The Wake STEM Early College High School is a small public school of choice; a joint project between the Wake County Public School System and NC State University. STEM is the theme of our school’s program in addition to our identity as an early college. Read more about our program.

    A magnet school is a type of public school that, while still part of the local public school system, has a particular curricular focus.   • GET TO KNOW WAKE STEM

    The mission of the Wake STEM Early College High School is to provide a highly supportive and academically challenging learning environment for students underserved in a traditional high school setting and underrepresented in the STEM disciplines, including first-generation college-going students, who will graduate prepared to compete globally in careers related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
