Ms. Poole: Hello everyone! My name is Courtney Poole and this will be my 6th year teaching 2nd grade! I was born and raised in Raleigh and attended East Carolina University to pursue my passion for teaching. In my free time I love to read, try new recipes, go to the beach, and spend time with friends and family. I am so excited for a great school year at WOES!

Mr. Elmore: My teaching adventure began in Virginia in 2003 and has continued to Florida, New Jersey, and finally North Carolina today. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, Intervention, and as a Technology Teacher/Coordinator. I have taught in Wake County for over 16 years and have earned my graduate degree in Education and completed my National Board certification for Early Childhood Education.

I live in Chapel Hill with my wonderful girlfriend, Diane, and my awesome bonus daughter, Lilla, and I enjoy traveling with them to a multitude of destinations around our picturesque state and beyond.

Mrs. Hudspeth: Hello! My name is Brittany Hudspeth (formerly known as Ms. Ledek) and I am so excited to be a part of the White Oak 2nd grade team this year! This will be my 6th year teaching here at White Oak - 2 years in first grade and this will be my 4th year teaching second! I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. I grew up in NY but currently reside in Raleigh with my Husband David and pup Tucker! In my spare time I enjoy being outside riding bikes, running on the local trails and am currently learning to golf! I especially love spending time with my family/friends, watching football (GO Jets!) and reading a good book! I am so excited to be apart of this amazing second grade team and can't wait for another awesome year ahead!

Mrs. McQueary: Hi All! I am so excited to be embarking on my fourth year of teaching here at White Oak Elementary School. I am so excited to be returning to our awesome school and community this year. I was born and raised here in Cary, North Carolina. I live in Apex, NC with my husband, Ben, and our cats, Indy and Charles. We are huge Hokie fans and love going up to Virginia Tech for football games in the fall. In my free time I enjoy crafting, reading, and indoor cycling at CycleBar. Looking forward to an exciting year ahead!

Ms. Frasz: Hello explorer families! My name is Jill Frasz and I am thrilled to be joining the White Oak Elementary second grade team. I have spent all of my career teaching second and third grade and I am excited to begin my 21st year of teaching! I graduated from Arizona State University in Elementary Education and earned a Master's Degree of education from the University of North Carolina. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in NC for 24 years. My three wonderful children and I live in Apex. I love traveling with them and watching them play the sports they love! I cannot wait to meet all of you and to be a part of the White Oak community.

Ms. Cleary: Hi everyone! My name is Bridget Cleary, and I am thrilled to be joining the 2nd grade team at White Oak Elementary. This will be my first year teaching, and I couldn't be more excited! I’m originally from Connecticut but moved to Apex in 2018. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2023 with a degree in Elementary Education, and recently earned a Master of Arts in Literacy Education. In my free time I love to travel, go to the beach, attend App State football games, spend time with my family, and cook! I am eager to start my teaching career here in 2nd grade, and I’m looking forward to an awesome year of learning!

Mrs. Green: Hello second grade explorers and WOE families! I am April Green, I will be assisting all the 2nd grade teachers this year. This is my sixth year at White Oak as an IA. I have been a part of the White Oak family since the school opened but as a parent. I look forward to another successful year.
