AP Exam Registration Information and Deadlines

    2024-2025 First Semester

The 2025 AP Exams will be administered in school during the first two weeks of May: May 5 – 9 and May 12 – 16. AP students will log into their CollegeBoard accounts to access AP exam information and materials for their AP courses. Please follow these directions to set up or retrieve your account with CollegeBoard and access AP exam information and course materials for your (1st semester classes ONLY). Information regarding 2nd semester classes will be shared at a later date.

    Action Items for Students:

    • Go to myap.collegeboard.org. If you have already established a CollegeBoard account, make certain that you can log in. If you have forgotten your password, you may call 888-225-5427 or click “Forgot Password.”  It is very important for your name on your CollegeBoard account to match your name in PowerSchool.
    • AP teachers have received join codes specific to their class and period.
    • Follow the prompts in your CollegeBoard account to join courses by November 8, 2024. Students will automatically be registered to take the AP exam for each course they “join.”
    • If you do not desire to take the AP exam, please complete this AP opt out by November 8, 2024. The CollegeBoard unused/canceled exam fee for this school year is $40. Students who do not complete the Google form (above) by October 4th and do not take the AP exam for a 1st semester class will be responsible for paying the $40 fee.
    • *Joining a class will allow students access to a set of resources designed to provide them with practice opportunities and feedback throughout the year. Students in AP courses 2nd semester will repeat this process at the beginning of 2nd semester.*

    Fees

What is the cost for AP exams?

    • $0 for students enrolled in the AP course during the 2024-2025 school year.

What to Know About Digital AP Exams

Bluebook digital testing is user-friendly and designed to keep testing smooth and secure.

    • Exams can be taken on Mac and Windows devices, iPads, and school-managed Chromebooks. College Board will provide schools with loaner devices and Wi-Fi supports as needed.
    • Students only need to be connected to the internet to start the test and at the end to submit their responses. If the internet drops during testing, students can continue testing without disruption.
    • After the proctor starts the exam, Bluebook controls the exam timing; exam responses are submitted automatically as soon as the exam ends.
    • In case of a widespread internet outage for an extended period or another unforeseen issue that prevents automatic answer submission at the end of the exam, students have up until 4 days after the exam to find an internet connection and submit their encrypted responses.
    • Accommodations such as extended time are provided in Bluebook.
    • Students will have ample opportunities to familiarize themselves with digital AP Exams, including test previews in the Bluebook app, AP Classroom practice assessments that closely mimic the look and feel of Bluebook exams, video tours of Bluebook features and tools, and more.
