Rising 6th-Graders
We want to help students' transition between elementary and middle school to be smooth and productive. Please take a look at important information for rising sixth-graders.Helping 5th Graders Transition to Middle School
-
The transition from elementary to middle school is often an exciting, yet nerve-racking time for students. We want rising 6th graders to feel prepared for middle school. Parents can help enhance students‘ comfort level with this change by exposing them to common concerns that arise in middle school and equipping them with skills necessary to be successful. We encourage you to read and review this Packin' Up Middle School Transition Guide with your rising 6th grader
Middle School Selection of Electives
All 5th grade students will be provided an opportunity to make elective selections for their upcoming 6th grade year. All selections will be made electronically in March or April at their current school, and the options available vary by middle school. A confirmation notice will be sent home for parent approval and signature. For a list of electives available to your child, please click on the school below to which your child is assigned. Please note that selection of an elective does not guarantee placement in the course. Final decisions are made at the middle school. If you have any questions, please contact your child's classroom teacher.
