At Wake Forest High School, we are proud of our athletic traditions and we are committed to making participation in high school athletics an integral and educational part of every student-athlete’s experience. We promote good sportsmanship as it is a vital part of making the experience wonderful for our athletes. Please keep in mind our principles of good sportsmanship:
- Fans and parents must realize you represent the school as does a member of a team; therefore, you have an obligation to be a true sportsman, encouraging the practice of good sportsmanship by others.
- Fans and parents should respect the judgment and integrity of game officials.
- Fans and parents should recognize that good sportsmanship is more important than victory by approving and applauding good team play, individual skill and outstanding examples of sportsmanship and fair play exhibited by either team.
- Fans and parents should be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
I would also like to thank the WFHS Athletic Booster Club for their support. The booster club provides tremendous support both financially and through the generous donation of their time. With the continued support of the Booster Club we will continue to be able to provide athletic opportunities to all of our student athletes.
