Assistant Principal - Mr. Chris Culp
Hello Baucom Families! My name is Mr. Culp and this is my 4th year at Baucom Elementary. I absolutely love being a part of the Baucom community and creating a safe and rigorous educational setting for our students. A few things about me are that I have a cat named Luna and a dog, Bodie. In my spare time I love to spend time outside with friends hiking or playing golf. When I'm not outside, you'll find me binging some science fiction movie, or trying out a new recipe. I look forward to supporting the students and staff this year and making this school year a blast!

Administrative Intern - Ms. Sarah Warwick
Hi Baucom families! I am excited to join the Aviators as the admin intern this year. My previous educational experiences include teaching 2nd and 3rd Grade, ESL, and Intervention. I am currently getting my Masters of School Administration from UNC Chapel Hill. When I am not in school, I enjoy watching my children play sports, spending time with friends and family, reading or listening to books, and running in the sunshine.

Data Manager - Ms. Beverly Robinson
My mission as a school data manager is simple: to build a strong foundation where every student and family feels seen, supported, and welcomed from day one. I have had the privilege to work with WCPSS for over 10 years, and I must say these last 5 at Baucom have been nothing short of amazing. I oversee and maintain the daily function of school data and records. At heart, I’m a people person who happens to work with data.Off the clock, I live a full, spontaneous life. I share adventures with my husband, and to keep him from too many gray hairs, I dive into my own hobbies—tending my garden, traveling, enjoying live theatre, listening to jazz, or getting lost in a good audiobook. One of my greatest blessings is being the mom of two creative adult children.I’m also a lifelong wordsmith who believes words are magical, capable of shaping beautiful stories when guided with love and intention. For me, recharging often looks like a smooth jazz tune or maintaining my base and troops in a good game of Clash of Clans.Email: brobinson@wcpss.net
Lead Secretary - Ms. Valerie Headlee
Hi Baucom Families. I am Ms. Headlee and I am excited to begin my first year as the Lead Secretary/Bookkeeper at Baucom. For the past 9 years, I served as the school's Receptionist, so I am happy I still get to assist families as part of the best office team in WCPSS. I have 2 sons-Jake is a project superintendant with a large general contractor in Washington, D.C. and Ben is a sophomore at James Madison University. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, traveling, going for long walks, spending time with my family, and attending as many UNC athletic events as possible.

School Resource Officer - Scott Hawkins
Hello, I’m Officer Hawkins, although my friends can call me Officer Hawk. I am one of the School Resource Officers for the Apex Police Department. I’m originally from Pennsylvania, and was also a Police Officer there. I am very excited to be a part of this amazing school community. I do everything I can to help students, families, and staff feel safe and comfortable at Baucom. One of my favorite things to do is give students encouraging “high fives” anytime they want one.

Reception - Ms. Sarah Thomas
Hello! I am so excited to be a part of the Baucom Elementary team as the office receptionist. This school holds a special place in my heart, as all four of my children attended Baucom and have so many wonderful memories here. My previous experience includes being a Preschool Teacher and an Instructional Assistant in both Special Education and Kindergarten. I live in Apex on a small hobby farm where we have raised a cow, pigs, lots of chickens, turkeys, geese, and goats. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending my kid's sporting events, and being outdoors in nature exploring or gardening. I am looking forward to welcoming students, families, and staff each day with a great big smile.

Reception - Ms. Megan Alexander
My name is Megan Alexander. I’ve served as the building substitute at Baucom for nearly two years. You will see me filling in for teachers if they need to be away from the classroom or helping in the office at reception. All three of my children attended Baucom, so it's a special place to me both personally and professionally. As a former third grade teacher, I love supporting our students and staff every day! I was born in Indiana but have called North Carolina home for 30 years, 17 of them in Apex. My husband, our 3 kids, our Labradoodle and our Siamese cat make up our family. In my spare time I enjoy reading, walking, playing card games, and going to Lake Gaston.
