If your child does not arrive home on the bus as expected, please contact the school first at 919-388-5270. If it is after hours and you are unable to reach someone at the school, please call 919-805-3030.Bus Routes and Transportation Information https://www.wcpss.net/transportation
To the parents of Green Hope Elementary students:
Please note that the name of your child’s bus may have changed. Please check the stops listed carefully. Find your stop and let your child know the name of his/her bus. Again, due to the rapid growth in our area, routes may have to be altered after the first day of school.
All students are expected to ride the bus to which they are assigned. Board policy 7125 RP prohibits students from riding a different route than the one assigned. Please note that requests to ride home with a friend cannot be granted. Do not make requests to accommodate parties, afternoon visits, working on project or going to lessons, etc. Parents are expected to arrange private transportation for occasional visits due to space limitations, assigned seating, and accountability.
If you are expecting your child to car pool, walk or be transported by a day care van, please notify your child’s teacher when starting school.
Students may only board and exit their assigned stop (closest to their home). Changes to a bus route or location of a bus stop should be addressed using the Transportation Service Request Form, which can be obtained from your child’s school or in the transportation website, listed above. The Transportation Department will review requests and follow-up with parents.
Most of the bus routes begin picking up students between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, although some do have earlier start times according to the distance from the school. You will be able to better judge the time to be at your bus stop as the year progresses. Stops and runs are subject to change.
If you need additional assistance, please call Green Hope Transportation at 919-856-8050.
