My name is Dianne Murrell and I am excited to be continuing on our third grade team at Leesville Road Elementary. This is my sixteenth-year teaching and seventh year as part of the Leesville Family.

After receiving my bachelor's degree in Childhood Education and Literature from Dowling College and my master's degree is in Students with Disabilities, I married my husband, Tim and started my career in New York where I taught for seven years before taking some time off to raise my oldest daughter, Peyton. I have taught various grades at the elementary level as well as, Math AIS, Reading Intervention and Students with Disabilities.

About nine years ago, my family and I moved to Raleigh from Long Island, New York, where we continued to grow our family.  I now have two daughters, Peyton (13) and Brooklynn (8), and a dog, Boscoe, and two cats, Layla and Julio. 

In my spare time I love to run, read and shop!
