Smith Magnet Elementary School is a nationally recognized magnet school offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), which promotes inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning that builds critical thinking and global awareness. In addition to the IB PYP framework, we also integrate Global Studies across subject areas to foster intercultural understanding and real-world problem-solving skills.

In addition, Smith is home to a robust Spanish Dual Language Immersion program, where students receive 50/50 instruction in Spanish and English across core subjects, developing bilingualism and biliteracy. All of our students benefit from daily World Language instruction in Mandarin and Spanish, ensuring they are exposed to global languages and perspectives.
